The Welsh for "Welsh"
You'll see the Welsh language called Cymraeg and y Gymraeg. Either form is fine, although you're likely to see y Gymraeg in more formal (especially written) contexts.
Welsh or Welsh?

Centuries ago, Cymraeg and Cymreig were just two different spellings for the same word. Nowadays, however, it's standard to use Cymraeg for things relating to the Welsh language, and Cymreig for things relating to Welsh people and culture.
